Job Description
Context
The Senior Manager, EMEA Marketing Planning will oversee regional Marketing Planning efforts, across Import Planning, Partnerships Planning and Marketing Studio Relations. The Senior Manager will lead a team of five, and report directly to the Director of EMEA Marketing Planning & Operations. As a seasoned thought partner to EMEA Marketing teams, and a regional representative for XF Marketing teams based in UCAN, LATAM and APAC, the Senior Manager will focus on the below three core areas of responsibility.
Core Impact Areas:
EMEA Strategic & Operational Leader
• Manage a team to lead the import of UCAN, LATAM and APAC title campaigns, demonstrating strategic pan-EMEA campaign leadership on EMEA needs & nuances from upstream input, right through to operational campaign execution.
• Determine new ways of working for Studio Relations in the region - nurturing internal (Content) and external (Studio partner - i.e. BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sony,) stakeholder relationships, building strategy & workflows for the years ahead.
• Partner with the Manager, Partnerships Planning to establish the new EMEA Partnerships Planning pod, assessing and proactively adapting the direction and scope of the team in line with ever-evolving business needs.
• Develop strong strategic partnership with EMEA Marketing leaders, confidently representing regional workflows, and the full EMEA import & licensed title slate.
• Build strong working relationships with Marketing stakeholders in export markets across UCAN, LATAM and APAC - with focus on the US and Korea - alongside key regional stakeholders (including Content licensing teams) in EMEA.
Regional Marketing Hub
• Strong EMEA IQ/EQ, ability to distill the complexities of the region ex-EMEA.
• Holistic purview on EMEA market strategies, nuances and ambitions.
• Full knowledge of the global content slate & business initiatives - connecting the dots between the content slate and the business, with ability to foresee future needs.
• Strong understanding of all import title, licensed title and brand partnerships campaign execution in region, which can be consolidated & communicated to regional partners & EMEA leaders.
Team Management
• Lead a team of seasoned, geographically-dispersed marketeers - inspiring and elevating individuals, and identifying new areas for team and personal development.
• Drive Regional Planning team strategy, laddering up to the overall vision of the EMEA Planning & Operations group.
• Support direct reports with issue escalation and crisis management.
• Drive ongoing innovation & efficiencies within day-to-day team ways of working, R&Rs and partner team connectivity.
Key Qualifications
The role will require 10+ years of experience in strategic marketing (social, digital media, partnerships), and is best suited for someone with prior people management experience. Previous lived and/or working experience across multiple EMEA markets will be valuable, but is not essential.
Required Skills
• Deep, demonstrable experience in marketing strategy, operations and planning, with expertise in building scalable frameworks, and managing, developing and executing regional workflows and processes.
• Natural people leader, with ability to build strong relationships and work across many internal cross-functional teams and markets.
• Strong experience in the development of 360 marketing campaigns, from strategy to execution, with a working understanding of the role that partnerships (brand partnerships, consumer products, etc) play within the overarching campaign.
Desired Skills
• Specific experience in brand partnerships marketing, with a focus on paid digital media and social media-driven content and campaigns.
• In-depth knowledge of brand collaboration workflows and branded content placement.
• Experience partnering with external studio partners on marketing licensed content.
