The Finance, Strategy & Analysis (FS&A) team is looking for a Senior Manager, EMEA Payments based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands who will focus on Payment Analytics and join the broader Payments and Commerce teams managing our global consumer payments in the EMEA. In this role, you are going to lead day-to-day efforts to monitor payment performance, drive analyses to increase subscriber acquisition, improve retention, and optimize payment experience. You will be part of the team responsible for driving business insights from payments data, managing payment-related fraud, and ultimately supporting development of Netflix payments strategy - with a focus on EMEA Payment Analytics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead and develop strategic value-added analyses and partner with the Payments team and Product Managers to help identify, prioritize, and assess the impact of new initiatives and market prioritizations (e.g. new payment methods offering and product feature improvements)
• Collaborate with the broader Commerce teams in EMEA and globally
• Create insightful strategic presentations that facilitate decision-making for internal senior stakeholders and our external partners
• Participate and represent EMEA Payment Analytics team in regional leadership forums and global payments forums
• Support payments partner engagement with credit and debit card issuers, card networks, and gift card service providers with a focus on improving performance
• Monitor performance of payments processing (e.g. payments page conversion and customer retention performance driven by payments) and identify trends that impact our business
• Provide input to our revenue forecasting and budgeting teams on the expected impact of current and upcoming payment projects.
• Work cross-functionally throughout the organization (e.g. payments, operations, finance, data science and engineering, consumer insights, etc.) to support implementation of payments solutions and lead the related performance measurement
• Lead the team for FS&A - EMEA Payments, setting direction, time, and focus for the team
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Netflix is growing fast with a flat organizational structure, which means that employees are often asked to perform tasks with a range of difficulties. The ideal candidate will be prepared to regularly ''roll up their sleeves'' to perform more mundane tasks on the same day that they present to the executives of the company. Candidates must be curious, motivated, disciplined, and able to work autonomously.
• ~10 years of work experience, ideally coming from the Payment industry, Management Consulting or similar fields in which excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic analysis is required
• Industry knowledge of payment processing, recurring billing, and general e-commerce with strong curiosity and interest in the consumer payments landscape
• Prior leadership experience
• Skilled in preparing effective and well structured data-driven presentations with clear narratives and presenting to senior management
• Adept at managing multiple projects and stakeholders on a regular basis
• Ability to remain highly organized in a loosely structured organization and fast-paced environment, exhibit the highest standards of integrity and ethics
• A proven track record of performing comprehensive qualitative and financial analyses independently and proactively that lead to actionable insights, focusing on generating results
• Must have excellent analytical skills, including ability to use business intelligence tools, build spreadsheet models and analyses, and sort through complex data to crystallize business implications. Proficiency with SQL and Tableau is considered a plus
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics or other relevant fields preferred. MBA is considered a plus.
