We're on the hunt for a passionate and talented finance and accounting professional to join the Finance Team in London. The candidate will work with various teams to optimize the UK finance operations and processes in terms of accounting, compliance and reporting. In addition, the person will be a business partner to the various cross-functional teams in our London office.

The ideal candidate has a strong fit with the Netflix values and culture, can collaborate well across the organization and has a hands-on mentality. We're looking for someone with an accounting background that can drive our reporting and financial statements compliance obligations for our UK and Canadian corporate and production entities, in the broadest sense of the word. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, able to work effectively, autonomously and drive projects and process improvements under tight time frames in a fast-paced environment, and a great communicator who can build strong working relationships with external advisors and internal teams.

Responsibilities Include:
• Statutory accounts preparation for UK legal entities
• Canadian NTR preparation and review
• Understanding UK filing requirements
• Leading statutory audits
• Providing IFRS and UK GAAP perspectives on projects
• Driving automation projects to optimize the overall finance operations and processes in terms of accounting and reporting
• Accustomed to multitasking, prioritizing and meeting multiple tight deadlines
• Flexibility to collaborate with Netflix teams across multiple time zones
• Willingness to travel to our offices overseas and in EMEA

Education and Experience:
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant accounting and finance experience (a combination of public accounting experience and in-house experience is preferred)
• Bachelor / Academic degree in accounting and on track for completion (or already completed) post graduate degree RA/CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent
• Experience with statutory reporting and leading (first-year) financial audits
• Experience in working in a multinational environment ability to team with cross-functional teams in legal, tax, accounting, content, etc.
• Experience in working with service providers i.e. external auditors, third party accountants
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
• Advanced MS Excel and Google Sheets experience with the ability to navigate large data sets
• Experience in the entertainment / tech industry is a plus
• Experience with Workday Financials or other cloud-based ERP systems is a plus
• Fluent in English, other languages are helpful
