Senior Analyst, Indirect Tax

Job Description

We are looking for a stunning tax professional to work with our Tax team to manage sales and property tax responsibilities. This person will manage our monthly compliance needs, audit portfolio, and indirect tax technology.

This position will reside at Netflix in either our Los Gatos or Los Angeles, CA offices, with the expectation to come into the office 2-3 days a week.

Responsibilities
• Manage the financial close process, including the review of indirect tax journal entries, communication with business partners, and reconciliation of posted journal entries.
• Manage unclaimed property compliance and partner with various Finance teams.
• Review quarterly and annual financial statement tie-outs for indirect tax accounts.
• Develop operational process improvements in sales & use tax, unclaimed property, and property tax workflows.
• Manage US sales and use tax and property tax audits, including data gathering and communication with state tax agencies.
• Compile necessary data for sales & use tax and property tax audits.
• Assist income tax team with review of state tax returns.
• Manage and review upgrades and maintenance of tax return software.

Qualifications
• Sales & Use Tax & Property Tax Experience and Accounting with a minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience.
• Ability to cultivate strong cross-functional relationships and communicate effectively with team members and business partners.
• Enthusiasm for designing and improving processes and challenging the status quo.
• Positive attitude and never settling for ''good enough'' are key.
• Experience with Workday Financials or other cloud-based ERP systems, tax systems such as Vertex and G Suite.
• BS / BA in Accounting or Finance and CPA/CA/JD.

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $60,000 - $290,000.
