The ideal candidate will be an individual with a deep understanding of manipulating large data sets, accounting or other finance principles, how to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders/executives, and finance system implementation. The role will lead cross-functional projects and the implementation of new tools, reports, and workflows to ensure more effective financial reporting and operations across content. This will work with key finance and business stakeholders, finance executives, process owners, and technology leads to ensure solutions have needed alignment.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze data and use accounting standards to inform content amortization estimates.
• Collect, clean, and analyze large data sets for routine and ad-hoc requests
• Distill complex analyses and effectively communicate insights for finance leaders to drive data-based decision-making.
• Perform procedures in line with our quarterly content amortization reviews/audit (i.e., meeting with external auditors, preparing quarterly documentation, etc.)
• Collaborate across the finance organization to ensure accurate accounting and forecasting of content amortization expense.
• Partner with finance, engineering, and audit teams to drive innovative projects focused on streamlining processes while maintaining compliance and accuracy
• Drive process and system improvements by collaborating with stakeholders to understand the current state of processes, but also define and document the future state while ensuring compliance
• Planning, organizing, and coordinating the operational execution of cross-functional projects to ensure alignment across multiple teams on objectives and deliverables
• Partner with the Engineering teams to determine the execution of the implementation of new systems, workflows, and integrations for reporting initiatives
• Partner with cross-functional teams (including other Transformation networks or direct Finance partners) to share best practices, determine synergies, and where we can collaborate on shared priorities.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years in accounting or finance systems related field; with 2+ years executing cross functional projects
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and operations
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
• Experience using tools like Tableau and Microstrategy to drive business insights by consolidating disparate data sources and tables into a cohesive story
• Experience executing large-scale Finance projects
• Experience scaling operational workflows and aligning processes for a global team
• Experience implementing Finance systems and managing a project roadmap
• Experience with Workday Financials or other cloud-based ERP systems is a plus
• Operational accounting or finance experience is a plus
• A great communicator who can build strong working relationships with cross-functional and finance teams
• Must have presentation skills, solid collaboration, customer-focused mindset, problem solving abilities, and strong desire to learn
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $50,000 - $240,000.
