Job Description

Editorial Creative brings meaning to Netflix's vast content catalog by creating the metadata and textual assets that represent and curate its titles. We create synopses, row names, genres, tones, and maturity ratings information that help members connect with content they love.

In this role, you will develop and manage the strategy & roadmap, timelines, implementation, and quality of Editorial Creative assets to guarantee the successful launch of a category of Netflix titles internationally. You will work with Product, Design, Engineering, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to help develop, scope, and set up new workflows for assets created by Editorial Creative, including but not limited to tags, copy, metadata, and global ratings. To pilot these workflows, you'll help create test assets, and vet the work of others as we figure out what works best. You will drive projects to completion in the short term while proactively championing long-term, scalable solutions that support the growing needs of our business.

The environment is fast-paced, requiring the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and manage aggressive deadlines as well as evolving business needs. You will need to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work through ambiguity comfortably and effectively. The right mix of organizational and communication skills is key to success. Attention to detail and a proven ability to manage priorities are also essential.

This role will report into the Director of Editorial Creative, and can be based in either the Los Angeles or Los Gatos office.

You will use your experience & education in:
• Defining the best Editorial Creative asset strategy that guarantees the most effective and efficient launch of Netflix title experiences internationally.
• Fostering relationships and partnering with key stakeholders to develop Editorial Creative strategy and roadmap for your area.
• Driving editorial asset coordination for title launches.
• Analyzing data to support large scale processes, prioritize strategic development, and support innovation in the editorial asset space.
• Looking for opportunities to optimize on workflows, inefficiencies, or member issues that have been reported.
• Establishing and ensuring high quality standards, while overseeing the program for your component end-to-end.
• Mitigating risk on project timelines, workflow changes, and deliverables, and finding alternative solutions to challenges when needed
• Building relationships, developing shared goals, and evangelizing our team to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Supporting qualitative explorations and AB product tests, and using subject matter expertise to inform hypothesis testing.
• Thinking inclusively to meet and anticipate the needs of our diverse and growing members.
• Reviewing content and other evidence to make metadata decisions that accurately represent titles to our members.
• Occasional travel is required, once return to our offices resumes.

Required Experience/Skills:
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Business management, technology management, or equivalent experience is applicable.
• 5-10+ years experience in project management working on international software launches, information management, or creative content. Experience within the mobile app industry or Entertainment (media, gaming, music industry) a plus.
• Ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional programs.
