Product Legal Director

Our product legal team is looking for an experienced technology lawyer to join our group and partner closely with our core engineering and data science groups as they imagine, create and deliver the technology that enables Netflix to entertain the world. In this role, you will build a deep understanding of the Netflix engineering and data science organizations while providing practical product counseling to enable rapid development of innovative products, including advising on privacy, regulatory, safety, policy and other issues while coordinating closely with legal specialists in each of these areas as needed.

To be considered for this role, you will:

Have 10+ years product counseling experience with significant in-house experience. Skilled in coordinating cross-functionally to support all aspects of the development, deployment and maintenance of products and services with deep expertise in a wide range of intellectual property issues. Experience with evolving data protection and privacy frameworks a plus to enable effective facilitation with the Netflix data protection and privacy team, but please note this is not a privacy/data protection role. Experience in technology transactions is desirable but not required.
