The Opportunity: The Netflix Legal and Public Policy team is a highly talented and experienced group of lawyers and public policy experts who work in close partnership with their business counterparts to advance the strategic goals of the company. The team is perceived within the company as solutions-oriented and as a welcome part of the Netflix business team.

The Public Policy team is seeking a Manager -Public Policy, India. The Manager will be a key member of the Public Policy team, both supporting other team members in defining and achieving and the company's public policy objectives and taking direct responsibility for a variety of projects related to those objectives.

In general, the Manager will work on the following:
- Achieving the goals of the Public Policy Team in India
- Partnering with Payments, Payments Legal & other relevant teams towards achieving goals of driving a policy ecosystem of favourable regulations for digital payments

The Manager will also work towards proactively establishing, deepening relationships with relevant policymakers, influencers and advocates- more specifically in the Payments space (including but not limited to RBI & Ministry of Finance, among others).

They will work with colleagues to write policy briefs, meet with policy makers, monitor legislative and regulatory initiatives, and communicate with stakeholders and partners. The Manager will also work internally with cross-functional colleagues, to provide sound advice.

Qualifications

The candidate should have at least 5 years of public policy experience, which could include working for a company, government agency, or non-governmental agency. Successful candidates will have experience working with advocacy organizations and navigating regulatory and legislative bodies.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in payments and fintech regulation, as well as data and privacy policy.

This role can be located in Mumbai or Delhi.
