The Role

The Manager of Production Finance in Brazil will be part of our Local Language Originals team at the Netflix Alphaville office. This role will support the Content cross-functional teams, protecting company financial exposure through production oversight and control.

The Responsibilities:
• Finance Executive that is a strategic partner working effectively, closely and collaboratively with the Netflix Local Language Originals, supporting the Content cross functional teams, such as Business and Legal Affairs, Production Management, Post Production and VFX
• Liaise with internal Netflix finance cross functional teams to articulate specific knowledge and finding; teams such as Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax, Content Accounting, Internal Audit, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Treasury
• Coordinate the implementation of production finance best practices, financial controls and cash management with our international 3rd party production partners, who are producing local content for Netflix
• Consolidation of production cost and cash flow reporting applications, ensuring accurate, timely and complete Budget, Cost Report and Breakage review, analysis and reporting, along with providing explanations for material changes
• Manage cash flow and funding processes for production service companies, process ATL payroll payments and Overall Deals
• Experience with local market taxes
• Experience in the market intelligence and keep abreast of current and changing industry trends and evolving technologies
• Creating insightful presentations that summarize analysis and presenting them to groups of Netflix managers and other executives to influence decision-making
• Compiling thoughtful post-mortem analyses to determine areas for optimization and improvement
• Help develop and test the next generation of production finance tools that enable better economies of scale

Experience:
• 10+ years production finance and/or production accounting experience with significant knowledge of the local market industry
• Fluency in Portuguese and English
• Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment
• Must possess a high level of intellectual curiosity with a focus on generating results
• Solid understanding of the territory payroll process, tax and government compliance requirements
• Budgeting and production accounting software experience required
• Must exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics
• Strong leadership skills
• Must be self-motivated, disciplined, passionate, highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
• High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving and analysis utilizing financial applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• College degree in accounting or finance is preferred
