Manager, Production Finance - Animation Systems and Analysis

Job Description

The Role:

As a Manager of Production Finance, Animation, you will be working with multiple cross functional stakeholders and leaders within the production finance and technology teams to provide system and workflow project management, financial planning and analytical support, and strategic insights. You will be working at the intersection of production operations, finance, and technology. This role will comprise two key areas of responsibility: 1) liaison between the production finance and finance technology teams helping to drive and design robust, scalable financial systems and dashboards for our animation environment; 2) lead the planning and analysis activities surrounding animation project costs / investments.

You will work with cross functional leaders to design and build tools and workflows, KPIs and dashboards, and strategic analyses that help inform and support decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Systems, Tools, and Workflows
• Manage/facilitate requirements gathering processes surrounding the development of new production finance systems and tools as well as collaborate on how our systems and tools fit into the broader animation studio ecosystem
• Take input and requirements from stakeholders and cross-functional teams and implement into durable solutions utilizing proofs of concept where necessary
• Design and develop insightful KPI dashboards for use by animation studio leadership
• Foster a learn-fast mentality and collaborate with the Content Finance Innovation Team to ensure a successful implementation of IBM Planning Analytics
• Become a IBM Planning Analytics ''Super User'' and serve as Informed Captain on system design and functionality decisions

Planning and Analysis
• Provide data analytics and perform financial analyses that help frame up learnings and insights for animation studio leadership - with a demonstrated ability to distill information into cogent visuals, storylines, and presentations
• Use data to develop strategic frameworks that guide decision making
• Exercise curiosity and seek out ways to drive efficiency surrounding spend and investment
• Be comfortable presenting and proposing solutions to senior leadership
• Lead departmental data analytic and financial reporting initiatives

Requirements:
• 10+ years in Financial Planning & Analysis role (Studio experience is a huge plus)
• Experience designing and documenting systems and workflows
• Experience with IBM Planning Analytics or similar large scale planning systems is required
• Strong track record of critical thinking, performing comprehensive analyses, and communicating recommendations in a clear and concise way
• Familiarity with statistical concepts and analyses
• Comfortable owning and making decisions as well as influencing decisions led by others
