Lab Technician, Device Logistics

Engineers across the company rely on device labs that host mobile devices, smart TVs, set-top boxes, and streaming sticks to test against and our team's challenge is to scale our device offerings and availability to meet the device demand.

This role ensures our stakeholder teams have all the devices and resources they need to do their job effectively.

What you will do
• Respond to incoming device requests that range from managing the logistics of an international shipment to retrieving and delivering devices from our warehouse inventory to an engineer
• Device management and organization of over 10,000 devices throughout the Netflix campus and our warehouses
• Build and maintain custom A/V testing carts to meet requested specifications and related special projects for engineering workspaces
• Assembly of electronic testing appliances
• Refinement of the inventory life-cycle, defining criteria on device lifetime
• Configure and prepare devices for certification or demonstration
• Lead projects that uses ad-hoc labor for device moves or lab space changes

What you need to have
• A problem solving-attitude that can work with minimal guidance and oversight
• Highly value your stakeholders and have a customer service mindset
• Experience and comfort working with networking and audio/video cables
• Experience with hand tools like power drills and screwdrivers
• Experience doing data entry and using website tools to complete tasks
• Organizational mindset - maintaining order to chaos of managing our inventory
• Experience with inventory planning and logistics
• Confidence in configuring electronics - Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TVs, Roku devices
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs of equipment
• Comfortable driving a van 2-3 week for transporting devices
