Excited about leading a team of creative strategists who will help transform how Japanese content on Netflix is presented to and perceived by over 200 million members across 190 countries?

The Product Creative Studio team partners with content creators and distributors to define and develop the strategy for how their content is creatively represented on Netflix to members around the world.
Our purpose is to create joy for our members by helping them discover stories they'll love - and we do this by marrying entertainment and visual storytelling with data and innovation to develop creative (artwork and video) for touch points across the Netflix experience. This new role is dedicated to building and managing a stellar, world-class team that is passionate about helping to grow a global audience for Japanese content (Live Action and Anime), driving creative learning agendas, and building strong relationships with internal cross-functional teams as well as external partners (creative agencies, anime studios, content distributors). You must be an avid user of both right and left brain thinking to push the bounds of creativity, testing, and scale; and are passionate about great product experiences.

Responsibilities
• Define and drive strategies for the creative representation of Japanese content at a catalog/ genre level.
• Set and push forward learning agendas for creative exploration and optimisation within the product experience.
• Stay abreast of the product innovation pipeline and ongoing A/B tests that are most impactful to the team's work and relently drive awareness around these within your immediate and key cross-functional teams.
• Create a conducive environment for the team to deliver amazing creative work while constantly innovating and dreaming up new ways to optimise, prioritise, and scale.
• Build strong partnerships with internal cross-functional / leadership teams by: Communicating the Product Creative Strudio team's purpose, priorities and workflows, Identifying and implementing opportunities to deepen partnerships to realise business impact for Netflix, Being a strong advocate for the Netflix product experience (both internally, and externally with content creators)
• Create workflows and ways of working that will enable the team to support business growth goals.
• Build, inspire and lead a growing team - by providing a clear vision and direction, removing roadblocks, paving the way for them to do their best work, leaning in swiftly to manage capacity overloads, and challenging conventions to inspire the team to think about what's possible.

The Right Stuff
• 10+ years of experience building, managing, and evolving creative (ideally digital) or product marketing teams.
• Strong passion for and knowledge of the entertainment/ Anime landscape in Japan.
• Great interpersonal skills with proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships with both technical and creative partners.
• Is an exceptional communicator with the ability to inspire, influence and present to large, diverse audiences.
• Passionate about building (new tools, systems, workflows, teams) - we are a fast learning, constantly innovating company.
• An exceptional, tenacious, tenured leader with a big heart for people and clear head for impact.
• Locally-focused, globally-minded.
• Business to native level proficiency in all forms of communication in English and Japanese required.
• Understand, advocate, and embody the company's values and team goals.
