Member Product DSE is at the forefront of these innovations with a mission to relentlessly improve Netflix member experience within our streaming and new verticals services across TV, Mobile & Web by surfacing insights, and identifying, incubating & enabling product innovations leveraging data, analytics, experimentation & modeling.

We are looking for an engineering and data leader to join our group and lead a team focusing on improving our data visualization capabilities, knowledge management, and improving access to data and insights through robust analytics and data modeling. You will support a team of talented analytics, visualization and software engineers, work closely with our data science, consumer research and product partners co-drive innovations that power delivery of high quality, actionable insights.

In this role, you will need to identify opportunities and direct team resources to the highest-impact areas across core product and data science space, foster strong relationships with these stakeholders, and collaborate effectively to bring projects to life.

What you will do:
• Hire and mentor a high-caliber team of Analytics and Visualization engineers and help guide them in their career development.
• Establish strong partnerships with stakeholders to shape the vision of a space, whether that is by helping determine analytics and viz strategies.
• Create an inclusive culture that promotes collaboration and innovation both within your team and across the organization.
• Develop visualization frameworks that contribute to the viz platform vision and enablement.
• Ensure that the team builds scalable analytics frameworks, including managing semantic layer in partnership with Data Engineering teams.
• Build internal products that foster reliable access to information by integrating novel technologies into our stack.
• Facilitate ownership and accountability by ensuring that the team is producing trustworthy and high-quality outputs that influence the decisions and direction of the entire organization.

About you:
• You have a deep technical background in engineering, spanning some or all of: visualization and/or analytics engineering, software engineering, machine learning and/or behavioral analytics.
• You likely have a B.S or M.S. in a field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Physics, Operations Research, etc.
• You have experience and demonstrated success in leading and building high-caliber, engineering focused teams with diverse technical strengths.
• You are impact driven and have demonstrated success influencing the organization strategy by establishing roadmaps and vision for new and existing areas.
• You are skilled at operating in a complex, cross-functional organization or company where collaboration and integration with other teams across multiple disciplines is essential to the success of your team.
• You have exceptional communication skills, especially when partnering with engineering & business stakeholders to drive impact and shape strategy. A successful candidate for this role can pivot and tailor their communications based on the audience and their needs.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $310,000 - $1,200,000.
