Now is an amazing time to join Netflix as we seek to entertain the world. We have over 200 million paid members in over 190 countries, and we won't stop there. We're now looking for a Director of Ratings and Partnerships.

With a catalogue of thousands of titles, great discovery and choosing experiences are central to Netflix, and reliable content ratings are crucial to helping members make the decisions about the titles that are right for them and their families. To deliver this, our Ratings & Partnerships team takes the lead on ensuring we have accurately rated every title on service, in every market we serve around the world.

In this role, you'll be leading the team responsible both for the operational excellence that ensures every title is accurately rated to exacting global and national standards, and for the strategic partnerships that help us stay ahead of an ever-changing world of government policies, content standards and member expectations, all as we navigate a new, broader world of entertainment from Netflix that includes games, live content and more.

You will:
• Lead our teams of ratings experts and partnerships managers.
• Be accountable for how we rate content – ensuring an accurate rating for every title, in every market around the world.
• Set the vision for the department, define performance standards, annual objectives, key results and roadmaps
• Be accountable for your teams maintaining performance standards, achieving key results and setting up the appropriate recurring review processes to ensure they are on track in a fast-paced operationally critical environment.
• Manage day-to-day partnerships across the business, creating and facilitating working relationships across Content Analysis, Content, Public Policy, local leadership teams, and Product. You will work with leadership at all levels across the business and must fluidly communicate between organisations
• Work with technology, operations and innovation leaders to drive progress in how we rate titles at scale, including the use of emerging technologies to classify at scale
• Ensure obstacles to launching and supporting key projects are addressed for your team. You will elevate opportunities and challenges with solutions to improve efficient and effective output, as needed
• Be responsible for the development and growth of your teams and their leaders

Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in a field encompassing any of content rating, regulated content classification, media policy or similar.
• Must have experience directly managing large teams
• Deep understanding of the media regulation landscape and understanding how it intersects with product innovation and member-focused discovery
• Should have experience in running globally distributed and remote-first teams
• Strategic, analytical thinker with a strong customer-focused mindset and empathy
• Excellent written (memos and presentations) and verbal communication skills; timely communication
• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive alignment amid ambiguity
• Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and effectively influence and contribute with concrete recommendations/next steps, across both regional and global teams
• Comfortable applying a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to define success
• Insatiable curiosity to learn new domains, keep up with industry innovation, and constantly ask 'why'
