The Director of Product and Live Operations is responsible for key strategic areas in the studio: Product Management, Live Operations and Player Support and Community. In addition to this, they will lead Consumer Insights activities for the studio in close collaboration with Netflix central CI.

The Director of Product and Live Operations works in partnership with the studio Leadership Team and Game Leads to ensure our games are built as services and live-operable from the get go, with a deep focus on building go-to-market strategies and tactics and scalable post-launch live-operations as well as related KPIs and measurement. They also collaborate closely with the Production function and Game Leads, to ensure ways of working and structures support building service-based games in an efficient way.

Key responsibilities
• Oversee the Product Management, Player Support and Community and Consumer Insights functions in the studio
• Create a holistic end to end Product Management and Live Operations approach for the studio with bespoke strategies, tactics and tools for each of the studio's titles in collaboration with their functions and game teams
• Act as a key contributor to the studio's portfolio decisions and development
• Ensure our games are built live operable from the get go, with appropriate tooling, data-driven strategy and campaign tactics in mind.
• Create and uphold a collaborative environment and ways of working with Product Marketing to ensure successful go-to-market planning for the studio's titles
• Successfully plan product launches by collaborating with product marketing, the development team, and other stakeholders to develop go-to-market strategies, positioning and messaging
• Define, communicate and maintain our player support and community engagement vision as well as ensuring alignment with the studio's strategic direction and ability to drive economies of scale in service delivery.
• Monitor the market landscape, conduct competitive analysis, and stay updated on industry trends to ensure the products remains competitive while addressing evolving customer needs

Skills, characteristics & qualifications:
• Robust experience from crafting player engagement strategies and operating in a games-as-service and free-to-play environment.
• Skilled in combining perspectives from different disciplines such as Product, Data, Player Support, Marketing and Design to craft integrated plans to engage, retain and acquire players.
• Experience and understanding of early-phase development and how to inflict concepting and prototyping with a product-mindset in order to facilitate building games live operable from the get go
• Data-informed, growth mindset: top capability to interpret data into actionable insights to help inform product strategy
• Previous experience in a leadership role on preferably multiple mobile game projects and an exceptional track record in people management.
• Exceptional communication skills which will help you bridge the gap between the business and creative sides of the studio. You can take charge in a deadlock situation, and help reach a unified vision supported by everyone.
