Job Description

Design Director, Monetization

Location: Los Gatos, California Preferred (San Francisco Bay Area - USA)

Team: Netflix is the world's leading streaming entertainment service with over 230 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying series, documentaries, and feature films across a wide variety of genres and languages. As our slate of original productions and licensed content continues to grow and we increase our global reach, we must scale the business and look for value creation across markets and user segments.

Within the Monetization team, revenue is our ultimate priority. To be successful, we need to find the right balance between...

Business Case: Viability (could this make money), feasibility (does it pass the ethical, and legal bar), capability (can we build it), and cost (how much time and effort to build). To be viable, we need to consider risk and reward for both shorter (1 year) and longer-term (3+ years).

Consumer Needs: Value considerations (does it address a real or perceived need), desirability (how important is this need relative to others), and willingness to pay.

We are looking for an experienced design leader to manage the teams responsible for further developing and generating new business and revenue models, iterating on our global plans & pricing strategy, and identifying ad growth levers across different flows and content types to help generate revenue and keep Netflix profitable and successful.
