Contracts Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced contracts manager to join the Netflix legal team, and be based in our Amsterdam office. This is an exciting and challenging role in a fast-paced environment, working with a group of legal professionals and lawyers on the Netflix legal team responsible for handling a variety of vendor and partnership deals across the globe. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading contract negotiations; facilitating signatures on contracts; collaborating, optimizing and managing contract and workflow systems; and helping our business and cross functional partners deliver fast and practical solutions for a wide range of vendor and partnership deals.

The successful candidate will have:
• Relevant experience as a paralegal, contracts manager, or contracts negotiator at a company or law firm; or, if legally qualified in at least one jurisdiction, relevant experience as a practicing lawyer either in-house or at a law firm;
• Expertise in contract law and substantial experience with contract review and negotiating independently complex commercial agreements.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: procurement; entertainment law; technology licensing; intellectual property; contract administration/management, legal operations, legal technology.

The successful candidate will also possess the following:
• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing and negotiating English language legal contracts.
• High degree of comfort with new technologies and digital tools and an innovator's mindset.
• Ability to collaborate with and influence cross functional teams and partners in an agile, fast moving environment.
• Curiosity about how we operate our business and the markets we serve in order to develop innovative solutions.
• Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight time-frames in a fast-paced environment.
