About the Opportunity:

As Netflix continues to grow and expand, we are looking for a motivated, highly organized, and quick-thinking professional to join our legal team to investigate and handle consumer claims, law enforcement, and general legal demands for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

The ideal candidate has a ''hands-on'' attitude, the ability to manage competing priorities under demanding deadlines, good communication skills, can easily learn how to use tools to perform investigations, and welcomes the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and highly collaborative organization. The position is based in Berlin or Amsterdam.

Responsibilities:
• Handle all phases of consumer claims in pre-litigation and litigation and escalated issues raised by customers, including service, validation of documents, indexing of information, investigation of claims, information gathering, and drafting responses;
• Assist with legal research and due diligence when needed;
• Organize, log, and maintain accurate data regarding the volume and types of consumer claims for reporting purposes and to drive product and customer experience improvements;
• Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address consumer claims and law enforcement requests;
• Summarize/translate legal documents as needed;
• Collaborate in the implementation and update of the Dawn Raid program for EMEA offices;
• Manage budget and outside counsel expenses;
• Perform various administrative tasks and backup support for general litigation, regulatory, and law enforcement teams as needed.

Requirements:
• 3-4 years of experience in legal operations in a law firm and/or legal in-house team;
• Fluency in English and German;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft responses to consumers and regulatory agencies clearly and effectively;
• Analytical and investigative skills, with attention to detail and the ability to think strategically, but also to use good judgment to build scalable processes and escalate matters that require urgent attention;
• Flexibility and willingness to provide administrative support on a broad range of legal matters;
• Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment with limited direction, balance competing priorities, and manage several time-sensitive projects at once, with eagerness to take on cutting-edge legal issues; and
• Great interpersonal skills and ability to build networks to facilitate communication and alignment between different teams.
