As Netflix grows globally, we continue to look for the best and brightest talent to scale with our growth. This newly created Payroll Specialist will be based in our Philippines office and interact with the Finance and Payroll Team in APAC

The perfect candidate for this position must be organized, detail-oriented, with high accuracy in volume transactional work. They must also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work remotely with other APAC team members outside of the Philippines.

The Opportunity:

As an APAC Payroll Specialist, you play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of employees net pay assigned to you, with a high degree of responsibility, discretion and confidentiality. Your responsibilities will encompass payroll processing, compliance with relevant regulations and providing excellent employee support on their queries.

Job Scope:
• Payroll processing of assigned APAC countries using a third-party payroll provider.
• Weekly expenses are processed in-house through Workday Host-to-Host Payment.
• Prepare, submit payroll changes, new hires, and leavers for each entity to the payroll vendors timely through Workday HCM
• Responsible for reporting new hires/leavers' documents to the payroll provider within the timeline, ensuring all new hire paperwork complies.
• Validation of payroll input against payroll register and coordination with payroll vendors for required adjustments/corrections.
• Coordinate with payroll vendors on timely payout to employees and statutory payments.
• Perform tasks associated with monthly, quarterly and year-end payroll reporting and taxation.
• Point of contact for employees on payroll questions through the Zendesk ticketing system
• Record, monitor on monthly payroll cost and raise purchase orders
• Record, monitor on payroll vendors' agreement renewal date
• Work with Philippines and Singapore team members and follow global process alignment.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Experience in Payroll and Accounting processing for at least 7 years in a BPO or Shared Services environment.
• Experience working in APAC payroll, a must in Korea, Australia and India.
• Excellent knowledge of payroll and related statutory labor laws required for payroll-related calculations.
• Above-average use of Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Microsoft Excel and Word, and Workday.
• Language Skills - Strong written and verbal communication in English
