Job Description

The Vice President, Talent Relations reports to the President, Entertainment & Content. This individual is responsible for developing and executing on Telemundo Network's overall talent business strategy. The ideal candidate will be experienced in leading a team of professionals responsible for the strategic positioning, development and management of talent focused on Telemundo's brand goals.

Job Duties:
• Lead the talent positioning strategy in partnership with key stakeholders within all areas of TLMD Media including Telemundo Studios, Alternative Programming, as well as Telemundo Station Group, Telemundo International, Marketing, Sales, Business Affairs and Digital.
• Build and maintain relationships with talent, talent managers, agents, producers and company executives.
• Manages internal and external talent requests to ensure proper execution and alignment with overall strategy.
• Match talent with revenue generating opportunities.
• Lead and facilitate strategic dialogue among executive leadership across Telemundo Media and talent agents and / or managers.
• Scout and evaluate talent for roster consideration.
• Gather and keep up-to-date on market intelligence.
• Manage, guide, coach and develop talent in their careers in order to optimize talent potential.
• Develop streamlined processes, maintain talent database and calendars.
• Administer the department budget.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the Entertainment or Television industry including 5+ years of experience at the executive level.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategy and communicate a vision.
• Previous experience working with talent agents and managers in International and US Hispanic talent markets.
• Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, evaluate people, manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment and effectively interface with high-level business and operations leaders.

• Demonstrated communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
• Process and detail oriented, including strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Proven experience driving business solutions through influence and collaboration in a matrix style organization.
• Able to energize and inspire others to commit to and take action on business priorities.
• Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written in Spanish and English.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Bachelor's degree is a plus.

Additional Requirements:
• This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
