Job Description

Summary

This role has responsibility to Partner with the VIP Management Team to supervise the day-to-day operations of the VIP Experience tour, with an emphasis on VIP Reception Operations.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for supervising hourly employees, enforcing department policies and procedures, offering consistent and timely feedback to employees, and ensuring effective communication between management and staff.
• Assist Management Team in providing work direction to hourly staff, delegate duties, provide coaching, explain how duties are performed and communicate clear and concise expectations.
• Respond to and investigate employee concerns and address accordingly.
• Understand and uphold the B-192 collection bargaining agreement.
• Reward and recognize employees for above and beyond work performance and build on their strengths.
• Encourage employee development and participate in employee interviews as needed.
• Review and approve all hourly staff time and attendance forms for accuracy.
• Review daily department logs and reports.
• Maintain VIP Guide scheduling & partner with Guide Scheduler
• Assist with Guest Recovery
• Assist Management Team with all aspects of Annual Training Program and Evaluation Process, with direct responsibility for training and development of VIP Reception staff
• Provide Area Management coverage as needed.
• Primary responsibility for monitoring reservations in Galaxy Ticketing Point of Sale system
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• High school education required
• Minimum 2 years of operations experience in studio tour, theme park or hospitality industry, including experience in guest service.
• Must be available to work on weekends, holidays and nights as required
• Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

Desired Characteristics
• Two or four year college degree preferred, or equivalent work experiences required
• Minimum 1 year experience working in USH VIP Department preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
• Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Google Docs
• Experience working in a union environment
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
• Proactive thinker/self-starter
