Job Description
Responsibilities:
This is an exciting role to work and grow in the intersection of ad tech, media and data science. We are looking for a self-starter who is proficient in advanced analytics/data science and has strong interest in advertising or media tech. You will have the exposure to cutting edge technologies and will work closely with product team, ad sales, research, industry vendors and play an integral part to drive the measurement innovation across NBCU portfolios. The Manager will report to Director of Cross-Platform and Currency Measurement.

We don't have a typical day-to-day because every day is different! This list just gives you an idea. Key Activities:
• Contribute to ongoing research and evaluation of third-party measurement (3PM) currency providers, including analyzing measurement data to refine transaction models.
• Lead data investigations by analyzing various types of 3PM data from multiple sources and use cases, including log-level analysis using NBCU's first-party data and third-party data from the Audience Insights Hub.
• Collaborate with product, IT, client strategy teams to shape NBCU's advertising offerings and drive go-to-marketing or sales strategies.
• Utilize research tools such as Nielsen, Kantar, iSpot, and VideoAmp to conduct media consumption analysis, competitive analysis, and evaluate advertising campaign performance. Present research findings to senior leadership.
• Support the leadership team in establishing new business models, leveraging alternative currencies, and building a solid measurement foundation for a unified media currency across digital and linear.
• Oversee, mentor, and develop direct reports, guiding their career paths, and support leadership in managing test and learn projects, including timelines, agendas, deliverables, analysis, and findings.
• Encourage and facilitate continuous learning for direct reports about industry and clients.
• Work with NBCU Measurement & Impact teams on measurement projects and learning initiatives.

Qualifications

Core Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field such as Math, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Marketing Analytics, or a related field (Master's degree is preferred).
• Two or more years of full-time, post-graduation experience in data analytics, media research, or data science, with a preference for experience at an ad tech company, digital entertainment company, advertising agency, media research provider, or data analytics firm.
• Proficient in AWS, SQL (advanced), Spark, R, or Python and knowledgeable of relational databases and big data retrieval methods.
• Familiarity with the broadcast/cable, Connected TV/OTT, and digital media landscapes is a plus.
• Strong grasp of statistical concepts, methods, and practices.
• Prior experience or knowledge in the ad-tech measurement space, data management platforms, and cloud databases (GCP, Snowflake, etc.) is preferred.

Desired Characteristics
• Self-starter who can perform independently and proactively while working in a collaborative team environment
• Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques and applications in media industry
• Knowledge of cross-platform measurement across digital, linear, and streaming (including CTV/OTT, addressable TV, etc.) a plus
• Knowledge of Multi-Touch Attribution, Media Mix Modeling a plus
• Flexible, able to deal with ambiguity and comfortable working in a fast paced, results oriented environment, and aligning the interests of multiple stakeholders
• Data processing and experience with data visualization tools (DOMO and Tableau) a plus
