Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial planning, management and support for the UDX Live and Location-Based Entertainment group, including tracking and analysis of royalty reports received from licensees, determination of amounts to be billed to licensees and dates invoices are to be sent, and follow-up on overdue and delinquent invoices. The Senior Financial Analyst will also help to track merchandise royalty receipts by profit participant in order that appropriate profit participation payments in respect of such royalty receipts can be determined. The role will assist in financial reporting related to month close, quarterly pacing/estimates; financial planning including the annual budget and re-forecasts; and analysis of business trends, transaction profitability, portfolio trends and process opportunities. This individual will work closely with the Vice President, Touring Worldwide Live Entertainment, the Vice President, Worldwide Location Based Entertainment, the Senior Director, Business Development, and the functional finance teams for Universal Destinations & Experiences in Orlando, Florida.

Royalty Report Tracking, Analysis and Follow-Up:
• Maintain calendar of royalty report due dates and advise licensees of royalty reports not received on time
• Review royalty reports received from licensees for clarity and completeness, and return insufficient or unclear reports
• Analyze royalty reports against license agreement language and minimum guarantee payments received to date in order to determine amounts to be billed to licensees
• Interface with UDX finance to ensure that appropriate invoices are timely sent to licensees

Payment Tracking and Follow-Up:
• Maintain calendar of payment due dates and advise licensees of any payments not received on time
• Review payments received and match them to applicable invoices; advise licensees of any short or incorrect payments
• Verify that any withheld amounts from payments are in correct withholding tax percentage amounts, and that appropriate government tax receipts are timely received for all withheld tax amounts
• Work with UDX finance on any payment plans or other payment arrangements agreed upon with licensees
Other Responsibilities:
• Analyze merchandise royalty receipts by profit participant, in order that appropriate profit participation payments in respect of such royalty payments can be determined and reported to Universal Pictures
• Follow-up with licensees to ensure that insurance certificates and other deliverables required pursuant to their respective license agreements are received and kept up-to-date
• Assist the UDX business development and finance groups in monthly financial reporting, quarterly pacing and estimates, financial planning (including the annual budget and necessary re-forecasts); and analysis of business trends, transaction profitability, portfolio trends and process opportunities
• Other financial or portfolio analysis as needed

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Proven experience supporting a similar business and level of executives for at least 3+ years
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong Computer / Analysis Skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

• Experience in using and managing budget/planning systems (SAP, Hyperion, Business Objects, Cognos, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to all levels of the organization
