Responsibilities:
Job Purpose:

The Senior Financial Analyst will play an integral role in managing financial operations & analytics for the Programming Acquisitions team. This role falls within the operational finance division of the newly formed Television & Streaming: Entertainment business unit. Programming Acquisitions plays a critical role in supplying the various Entertainment networks with valuable/popular acquired series as well as well
Recognized/top box office grossing films from all major movie studios. This individual will support financial analysis for all of the Entertainment brands, including NBC, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, USA, Syfy, UniKids as well as Peacock (NBC Universal's streaming service) and reports to the Senior Manager of Finance.

As a key contributor & highly trusted member of a team of 3, you will be an integral part of the Entertainment Group Acquisitions team responsible for the acquisitions budget. This position is in a fast-paced environment and will interact with several operating areas of the business. Core responsibilities include supporting day to day financial operations, reporting variances, leading projects, and acting as a finance resource for the Acquisition team operators.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Manage programming cash including forecasting/pacing and budget planning
• Manage amortization of existing series/movies inventory across all networks. Update available spend analysis to assess remaining funds and present to executive management
• Collect and analyze airing patterns, ratings, pricing data for all acquired movie/series package proformas
• Create inventory analysis across Entertainment group portfolio to inform decision making around new acquisitions
• Support controllership team with monthly close activities ensuring accuracy of the data and working with operators to resolve any discrepancies
• Oversee the input of new deals into Compass, internal programming subledger, ensuring accuracy of all financials and deal terms
• Constantly evaluate and implement ways to drive automation, standardization and simplification across all areas
• Various ad hoc requests as needed

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field
• 2+ years of progressive experience in Accounting and/or Finance
• Advanced user of excel with track record of complex model building, e.g. pivot tables, V look-ups, SUM Ifs
• General ledger experience and knowledge of GAAP
• Proficient with MS Office Suite products - particularly Excel & Powerpoint

• Entertainment/Streaming experience strongly desired
• Solid systems & data management skills; experience in SAP/BPC a plus
