Project Innovation
Project Innovation is part of the Film Studio Finance Division in the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (UFEG) and responsible for driving dynamic finance transformation programs across the global business community.

Primary Functions
Deliver Value to Stakeholders - Provide full scale, end to end business process and technology solution support for initiatives that have been established by the Film CFO, business community & corporate.
Film Technology Partner – Lead business process streamlining and automation by collaborating with the Film Technology Operations Group for ongoing support and enhancement improvements for principal Film Studio Finance System. ECLIPSE is an SAP BPC application designed for FP&A processes and facilitates business unit submissions for film cost amortization & reporting requirements.

Role Profile
The Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for managing small and large scale global film finance FP&A, Controllership & Technology driven project initiatives, including building key stakeholder relationships. This position will report to the VP, Finance Project Innovation and will work collaboratively across the UFEG community to spearhead a wide range of project related activities. Responsibilities include proof of concept assessments, gap analysis, and full end to end project management support for Film & Enterprise level initiatives. This position will also serve as a change champion to support new process stabilization.
Qualified candidates will be considered for a Director role on the team.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management
• Responsible for creating detailed project plans and performing all project management activities for assigned initiatives
• Act as lead project manager on assigned engagements including meeting coordination & scheduling
• Create project specific supporting documentation including presentation decks & project charters
• Present proposed project plans to Business stakeholders for consensus and buy-in
• Lead discussions with business stakeholders to drive initiatives forward including facilitating conflict resolution
• Perform Return On Investment (ROI) Analysis as needed
• Provide change management support for business transformation transitions
• Create and present project status updates to key stakeholders including Film CFO Executive
• Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned

Partnerships
• Establish and build productive working relationships with stakeholders across NBC Universal
• Collaborate with 3rd party vendors as needed

Process Improvement
• Evaluate new tools to support team management of project intake, inventory tracking & resource management
• Participate in activities that help build project management skills and best practices across the team
• Engage in team brainstorming to identify potential project group driven business process improvements or technology solution recommendations

Marketing & Communications
• Assist in the development of marketing campaign strategies to support key initiative rollouts
• Create custom communications to support stakeholder messaging including leveraging digital animation tools
• Support team marketing initiatives to drive Universal Filmed Entertainment group awareness

Qualifications/Requirements

• Four-year degree (B.S.) in Business, Economics, Accounting/Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in financial, accounting, or similar roles
• Direct experience working in a complex, large scale accounting and finance environment
• Strong organizational & problem solving skills
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and experience presenting to an Executive audience
• Experience working on global teams with diverse backgrounds, business objectives, and time zone constraints
• Adaptable performer who can operate effectively under pressure and through significant change
• High proficiency Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel skills
• The qualified candidate must be able to multi-task and balance priorities on competing initiatives

Desired Characteristics

• Experience implementing finance global processes and systems
• Experience driving process improvement within a finance organization
• Finance master data related experience
• Knowledge of project management related tools such as Smartsheets or Microsoft Project
• Passion for driving change across the organization with a focus on process & system improvements
