Responsibilities
OVERVIEW
NBC Universal is one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies. We develop, produce and market entertainment, news and information to a global market. Universal Pictures International is the international film division of Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, operating across 80+ territories.

The UPI Finance team play a key role in supporting the UPI SMT. It oversees a complex, multinational network of owned operating companies, licensees and JV's. The team will partner closely with other HQ functions, all UPI operating companies and corporate groups based in London and Amsterdam.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Planned job responsibilities are as follows but there may be some change as the team works through the optimal set up -
• Drive controllership initiatives throughout UPI with site visits, balance sheet reviews, key metric analysis and regular controllership communications
• Maintain a strong working relationship with UPI OpCo Finance Directors and Controllers, ensuring controllership objectives are clearly defined, communicated and prioritized
• Responsible for timely and accurate closure of financial books monthly & quarterly. Ensuring monthly/quarterly Account Reconciliations are completed timely and are properly supported
• Ensure alignment to Comcast and NBCU global policies and priorities
• Keep the Controller and FP&A team updated on controllership status
• Work with the FP&A team in identifying risks and opportunities impacting the P&L and Cash Flow, from balance sheet and working capital focus
• Partner with the HQ Controllership Group, Tax and IT teams to ensure all requirements are met on a timely, accurate and efficient basis
• Owner of Deloitte and Comcast internal audit relationships
• Review and approval of statutory to GAAP process and reconciliations, and ensuring statutory obligations of all legal entities within the Business Unit are met on a timely basis
• Oversee all corporate, statutory and tax reporting requirements
• Working closely with the Film Controller, VP Controller & Operational Finance, and Operations teams to drive simplification and process improvement
• Play a key role in process improvement and build out of a team

Qualifications/Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
• 8+ years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or related field
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field such as economics

• Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to present to Senior Executives.
• MBA and or CPA highly preferred.
• Proven leadership skills and prior experience managing a team
• Excellent technical and analytical skills
• International experience and experience of a head-office environment working across multiple business units is desired
