Job Purpose

Media consumption continues to evolve at record speed. Through broadcast, cable, DVR, OTT, streaming and social media, audiences can access content however, wherever and whenever they want it.

Due to this phenomenon, NBCU is seeking a Senior Analyst to join their Client Strategy & Insights team to aid in the development of sales-driven research and analytical solutions for linear, digital and cross-platform performance. This role involves influencing and transforming the way consumers, agencies and advertisers think about our offerings, understanding the marketplace and audience, and orchestrating data-driven stories to deliver more timely, engaging and connected communications. The Senior Analyst will work closely with internal partners and leverage syndicated and custom tools to effectively position NBCU across the media landscape. Candidates must have an interest in developing actionable insights and effective storytelling on behalf of advertisers.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Support the Client Strategy & Insights team in the creation of actionable insights, reports, presentations and marketing materials that help drive revenue across NBCU portfolio cross-platform opportunities
• Partner with internal NBCU sales, planning and strategy teams to build results-focused and insights-led positioning to advertisers and the marketplace
• Develop campaign, consumer and category insights to support marketing opportunities based on audience delivery and profiles, buying behavior, and ad spending analyses
• Monitor and report trends in media cross-platform landscape, media consumption habits, and viewer behavior shifts
• Craft internal and external facing write-ups and thought leadership on the changing media landscape using inhouse and syndicated data sources
• Respond to day-to-day requests from internal stakeholders by leveraging syndicated and custom research tools – creating compelling stories and impactful insights in new and different ways
• Collaborate across various internal teams and external vendors to scope for measurement capabilities
• Participate in larger projects for the broader NBCU platform as needed

Qualifications/Requirements
• 2+ years of applied experience in an analytics/media planning/media buying/strategy/product role at a media brand, agency or supplier
• A strong communicator and proactive self-starter with an innate curiosity
• Excellent computer skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel (formatting, creating charts/graphs, pivot tables, formulas etc.)
• Experience with complex data, and conveying results in a simple and concise way, including the ability to make visually compelling decks
• Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Willingness to partner with fast-paced, high performing internal partners
• Comfortable acting in a client-facing role, with the potential to present to external parties
• Background in analytics and knowledge of media math preferred
• Prior experience in TV and digital applications and other syndicated research tools (Nielsen NPower, Nielsen Ad Intel, Phoenix TV Brand Effect, Lake5, MRI, ListenFirst, comScore etc.) a plus
• Bachelor's degree required, ideally in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Media, Economics/Finance, Math, Statistics or related field

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
