Freelance Sports BOC Coordinator

Responsibilities

PLEASE NOTE: This is a project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

Role Purpose
The Coordinator, BOC Operations manages the daily operation of the Stamford facility supplying the On-Air needs of our Productions and provides in-BOC Operations support for shows involving Multiple Complex Remote facilities usage.

Responsibilities
• Informed and up-to-date on sporting events and sports knowledge
• Schedule all ingest and connectivity using ScheduAll
• Operationally support BOC during shifts, includes management of BOC Operationally and all scheduled events
• Ability to operate routers, waveform monitors, and vector scopes
• Act as an operational traffic controller for NBC Sports BOC, understand how feeds are coming in, being processed and being sent out or recorded.
• Knowledge of industry standard production workflows.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Weekly and monthly data entry/tracking with internal teams

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• College degree in communications /television production or related field, and/or equivalent experience
• Minimum One (1) year experience in TV production / operations

Additional Skill Requirements:
• Knowledge of transports systems, formats and signal flows.
• Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Superb communications skills and ability to work in live sports environment.

• Must have the ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environment under extreme deadline pressure
• Basic knowledge working knowledge of available vendor facilities
• Knowledge of ScheduALL scheduling system
