Responsibilities
Role Purpose
We are seeking a proactive self-starter who is passionate about communications, and is willing to roll up their sleeves and dive into all things media relations, research, internal comms and supporting the company's business goals. The Communication Specialist serves as a key member of the Corporate Communications team, supporting day-to-day operations and long-term planning. Candidates should exhibit strong organizational and communications skills, and an interest in public relations. Candidates should be self-motivated, outgoing, and team-oriented individuals who work well in fast-paced environments. Strong writing, analytical, research, evaluation and presentation skills are key.

Job Duties
• Draft press materials including press releases, talking points, company-wide communications, story pitches and other materials.
• Coordinate with NBCUniversal businesses and brands to amplify initiatives from across the company.
• Help support CEO communications.
• Write stories about NBCUniversal initiatives for internal and external audiences.
• Maintain strategic communications tracking documents.
• Work with Pages to generate daily press clip reports and media monitoring.
• Build and maintain press lists and reporter database.
• Help manage communications function external resources.
• Maintain executive bios and headshots.
• Assist with functional meeting and event preparation.
• Supervise and train department interns and Pages.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar environment.

Additional Job Requirements
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or adhere to enhanced protocols if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.
