Job Description

The Social Media Content Specialist is responsible for executing day to day social media needs across multiple Telemundo platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and more.

Job Duties:
• NBCUniversal is looking for an experienced social media specialist who is a driven critical thinker with excellent verbal and written communication skills, has project planning abilities, is team-oriented, and has the ability to adapt and respond well to change.
• Have a deep passion for social content, a keen eye for visual storytelling and a thorough understanding of social media trends and strategies.
• Execute social media strategies that align with company's brand identity and objectives, elevating our brand by keeping our community informed, driving audience engagement, video growth, and revenue.
• Track, evaluate and interpret weekly and monthly performance analytics to refine social strategies and optimize engagement.
• Strategically promote content from our programming in a timely manner across social platforms, including Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok.
• Create, curate, and publish social posts while following established editorial guidelines.
• Closely monitor social media trends, hashtags, and conversations to identify opportunities for content creation and real-time engagement.
• Craft compelling, creative, and catchy social copy, in Spanish, that complements visual content and resonates with target audiences.
• Responsible for community management, including interacting with fans and followers by replying to comments and messages to strengthen brand loyalty and promote brand advocacy.
• Collaborate across multiple departments, including marketing, PR, talent, and other internal teams to enhance the reach and impact of our social media initiatives and campaigns.
• Partner with external partners to enhance brand visibility and awareness
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging social media platforms, and best practices to continuously innovate and improve our social media presence.
• Create and manage a social calendar that aligns with digital editorial, linear shows, and company initiatives.
• Must communicate effectively with the production teams to coordinate and execute deadlines and promotional efforts.
• Ensure social accounts are updated with the latest show content while leveraging platform features, including highlights, pinned posts, collaborations, link in bio, and more.
• Responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Must be fully fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in social media management.
• Strong understanding of various social media platforms, their features, algorithms, and audience behaviors.
• Proficiency in using social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Facebook insights, SocialFow, Shareablee, Google Analytics, Later).
• Must be available to work all shifts, including early mornings, evenings, holidays, weekends, late breaking news, and hurricane emergencies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving trends and technologies.

Additional Requirements:
• This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
• Must be willing to work in Miami, Florida.
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older.
