Responsibilities
NBCU Owned Television Stations group is seeking an SEO Manager to lead the strategy for SEO optimization across all NBCU Owned Television Stations Group (OTS) markets. This person will work with internal and external teams to increase quality traffic, maximize web site performance and improve search rankings. This role is open to telecommute.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Lead and manage overall SEO strategy for NBC OTS markets.
• Make editorial recommendations based on analysis via Adobe Omniture/Google Analytics and other performance trackers to increase traffic
• Work closely with editorial teams to instill SEO best practices
• Monitor keyword rankings
• Determine weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly success metrics
• Be able to communicate SEO efforts to-and work closely with-other teams, including product, technology, research and marketing.
• Work as SEO lead on launching new editorial initiatives
• Serve as subject matter expert in search engine marketing
• Keep up with industry changes in SEM/SEO
Qualifications/Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of SEO experience at a major news operation or an agency with a focus on news and editorial
• Excellent writing, editing and organizational skills
• Experience working on a site that achieved significant growth in search
• Desire to work in a creative, demanding, competitive environment
• Strong communication skills and an ability to work well across various departments
• Strong technical skills in HTML, CSS, Javascript
• Desire to work in a creative, demanding, competitive environment
• Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search
• Passion for SEO/SEM driven results
• Proficiency in Excel a must
