Responsibilities

Positions available at NBCUniversal Media, LLC (900 Sylvan Avenue, Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632) for Senior Software Engineer, Java with the following job duties:
• Train and build language models using text data (closed captions, video transcripts, and news stories).
• Responsible for the development of Natural Language Processing Pipeline for Tokenization, POS tagging, and Parsing.
• Responsible for the development of neural network (deep learning) based models for named entity recognition and text classification in Python.
• Responsible for the development of work embeddings models for domain specific content.
• Develop visualization tools to be able to demonstrate how the model is performing on latest data.
• Containerize RESTful APIs web application using Docker.
• Design and develop recommendation system using machine learning techniques.
• Produce design documents.
• Work with product managers to flush out requirements.
• Enhance, refactor, and maintain existing graphQL applications.
• Help in resolving production related technical problems.
• Write code and tests that are understandable and maintainable.
• Debug effectively within their primary area to help find root cause.
• Provide helpful, timely code reviews. Collaborate professionally with teammates and peers.
• May work remotely.

Qualifications
*Basic Requirements:
• Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related technical field, and at least 5 years of experience in the job offered or at least 5 years of experience working in an Agile team environment.
• All stated experience must include at least 5 years of experience in each of the following: Machine Learning: genism, flask, spacy, TensorFlow, PyTorch, AWS (Amazon Web Services) Personalize and Sagemaker; Programming Languages: Python, Java, JavaScript; Query Languages: SQL and graphQL; Databases: mongoDB and mySQL; Tools: Jupyter Notebook and Anacoda; Scripts: ksh and bsh; and OS: Linux, windows, and macOS.

We are offering a salary range of $158,000 per year to $175,000 per year, depending upon qualifications.
