Job Description

Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
• Perform code reviews and collaborate with peers on software solutions.
• Interact with Product Managers and Quality Engineers to deliver high quality, high profile software and user experiences.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, retros, sprint planning, etc.). Troubleshoot and fix production issues as they occur.
• Mentor team members with complex technical and design issues.

Basic Requirements: (required)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field, plus 5 (five) years of experience in the job offered, software engineering working in back-end, front-end, or full stack capacity, or a closely related occupation OR a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field plus 3 (three) years in the job offered, software engineering working in back-end, front-end, or full stack capacity, or a closely related occupation

Special Requirements:

Must possess expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/knowledge cannot be quantified by time. Required expertise/knowledge includes: Web software design patterns and principles with experience in all phases of development life cycle; JavaScript, Node.js, Typescript, HTML and CSS; Modern front-end frameworks/libraries: React/Redux, Angular, Vue.js, Polymer, etc.; Older javascript libraries: MooTools, Dojo, Prototype JS.; Git and source code control management and branching strategies; Web development principles: DOM hierarchy and manipulation, semantic markup etc; Documented experience developing user-facing software; Documented experience working in an agile/Scrum environment; Front end workflow/build system and productivity tools: Grunt, Gulp, Webpack, Next.js, etc.; CI/CD tools, e.g., Jenkins; and Front-end frameworks and productivity tools.
