Job Description
Our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) portfolio is a powerhouse collection of consumer-first brands, supported by media industry leaders, Comcast, NBCUniversal and Sky. This position sits within Decision Sciences, an organization with a charter to provide valuable insights that enable decision-making across NBCU's Media Group. The role will traverse the many distribution avenues that put NBCUniversal's content on screen in front of audiences. Areas of focus include opportunity assessment and valuation analyses that span linear and streaming, strategy for NBCU's portfolio of FAST channels, and streaming market intelligence to contextualize and support Peacock's growth.
Responsibilities
• Use data to model the impact of distribution, partnership, or programming changes in collaboration with stakeholders across the company
• Work across multiple data sources to size the ''total addressable market'' associated with various distribution channels or partnership opportunities
• Shape the direction of NBCU's FAST channel portfolio, evaluate new channel opportunities, track the FAST landscape, create materials for leadership updates, and coordinate across teams
• Produce quarterly earnings recaps that focus on competitor streaming services, to be shared across the company
• Track usage and subscription KPIs for competitor streaming services, prepare executive-level presentations, and help troubleshoot issues with relevant data sources as they arise
• Collaborate on analyses that involve querying large first, second, and third party datasets
• Contribute to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work culture at NBCU
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in insights, strategy, consulting, or a related function
• Ability to interpret stakeholder needs and remain focused on business impact while also deeply understanding data and analytical methods
• Experience crafting PowerPoint presentations that tell meaningful stories with data
• Strong Excel skills and experience compiling, transforming, and modeling data in workbooks
• Knowledge of Tableau or comparable data tools
• Experience with Antenna, Nielsen streaming data, or other streaming industry measurement
• Commitment to tackling projects of all sizes with vision and purpose
Additional Requirements:
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
