Responsibilities
Role Purpose:
Exciting opportunity to work within the Entertainment group of TV & Streaming! The Senior Financial Analyst, Programming Finance will be a key member of the Cable portfolio Programming Finance team and will work across all Cable properties, including USA, Bravo, Syfy, Oxygen, E!, & Universal Kids and Peacock. This is a hybrid role providing operational finance support as well as FP&A support. The position will report directly to the Director of Programming Finance. The Senior Financial Analyst will work cross-functionally between Finance, Production Operations, Controllership, Business Affairs and Senior Management to provide traditional operational finance support related to, but not limited to current programming and development.

Responsibilities:

Current Original Programming & Development
• Assist with Development spend tracking and reporting, inclusive of accurate cash and programming expense forecasting and analysis.
• Play a key role in financial tracking of of Cable property/genre original programming series inclusive of accurate cash and programming expense forecasting and tracking.
• Work with Production Operations and Creative teams to understand production timelines, episode order, and series breakages for current original programming.
• Partner with external production companies and internal studio finance on new series/season cashflow schedules.

FP&A & Other
• Assist in the consolidation and presentation of Cable portfolio roll up and analysis.
• Perform ad hoc analyses providing insight into programming financials.
• Manage, identify & highlight business risks and opportunities throughout the quarter for respective programming areas.
• Key contributor to the monthly/quarter closings in working with the Controllership team in providing supporting finance schedules, as well as assisting with financial variance analysis, and programming data requests to FP&A.
• Support the ongoing process and system improvement and testing of programming content tracking and reporting system (COMPASS).

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in financial, accounting, or similar roles
- Advanced user of excel with track record of complex model building, e.g. pivot tables, V look-ups, SUM ifs, automation of link updates; SAP General Ledger a plus.
- Media experience preferred
