Role

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the accurate, accounting, financial reporting and cash flow operations of NBCUniversal's newest e-Commerce business 'NBCUniversal Checkout'. This role will support the monthly accounting close process for e-Commerce sales and the payments to retail partners. In addition to these core responsibilities, the Senior Financial Analyst will be a key contributor to developing automated processes and financial modeling for forecasting, planning, and budget. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a growing business e-Commerce initiative while also learning the larger NBCUniversal Advertising Sales business.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide ongoing support to Sr. Director, Ad Sales Finance and SVP, Content & e-Commerce to develop scalable processes for the monthly accounting close and payments to participating third party merchandisers. Primary responsibilities include:
• Perform monthly accounting close for e-Commerce sales and overhead expenses– inclusive of journal entry preparation and revenue allocation across NBCU divisions
• Support the development of automated processes for remitting payments to sellers from our marketplace platform (Mirakl) and ensuring accurate calculations / key controls
• Collaborate with the product and merchandise operations teams to enhance our transaction history and reporting from our marketplace platform (Mirakl)
• Coordinate payments to participating merchandise sellers on a monthly basis
• Ensure necessary controllership reporting and maintenance of bank account & PayPal accounts
• Prepare 1099K reporting for corporate tax team
• Communicate compliance policies of NBCU payment operations (vendor setup and invoice processing) related to overhead expenses
• Prepare quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations for controllership team to complete

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Four-year degree (B.A., B.S.) from an accredited college or university, preferably in Finance or related field
• Minimum of 3 years finance experience

Eligibility Requirements
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
