Responsibilities
Role Purpose
Working as part of the global immigration team within the NBCUniversal Labor & Employment department, you will provide legal advice and strategic direction on the global immigration needs of the company's businesses.

Responsibilities:
• Partner with external counsel as appropriate, provide expert legal advice and counsel to HR, the businesses and other in-house lawyers on the full range of immigration issues faced by the company globally.
• Draft and review supporting documents for immigration applications and business travel, with a particular focus on supporting applications for L1 and O1 visas.
• Support the VP, Global Immigration, in executing and managing the implementation of the global in-house immigration strategy.
• Develop and manage strategic and effective relationships with external counsel globally to best serve the company's immigration requirements.
• Ensure the company has appropriate sponsorship arrangements and complies with applicable audit and reporting requirements.
• Work with the VP Global Immigration to develop corporate policies and processes relating to a wide range of immigration issues.
• Manage and develop a team of immigration professionals to advise, complete and facilitate immigration applications and processes for the businesses.
• Track and measure immigration trends across the various businesses you will support and use this information to drive efficiencies and add value.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in US immigration law and global immigration issues, trends and strategy.
• Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school or comparable educational institution in the relevant jurisdiction. Member in good standing of the State Bar of New York or California, or another State Bar and registered as in-house counsel.
• Established experience acting as a trusted business partner enabling businesses to measure and manage risk in a changing global landscape.
• Proven leadership skills and a global mindset which embraces and drives collaboration across functions, businesses and jurisdictions.
• Established experience providing immigration law advice relating to tv and film production, as external and/or in-house counsel, preferred.
