Job Description

The Script Supervisor is responsible for maintaining all details of the shooting script in a form and style which clearly reflect the production filming process. The Script Supervisor is also responsible for informing and indicating to the Director and Editor any modifications made to the script.

Job Duties:
• Reads and analyzes the script in an effort to prepare the script pages to facilitate the necessary modifications, annotations, and production notes.
• Provides an updated and detailed shooting script with all pre-production modifications to Director and Editor.
• Maintains an accurate record of all changes in dialogue and action during production.
• Ensures consistency and continuity of wardrobe, make up, set dressing and props in scenes that require multiple shooting sessions.
• Maintains an accurate record of all items used in a shooting (props, wardrobe, sets etc.) and notes the condition of each item after each take.
• Takes pictures of actors and sets for the purpose of recording prop, wardrobe and actor positions and condition at the beginning and/or end of a take.
• Maintains an accurate record of all scene numbers and identifies the scenes that were approved by the Director to proceed to printing.
• Records and maintains a time log for all rehearsals and takes.
• Informs the Director of any scheduled scenes on the shoot list that were omitted or incomplete at the close of each day and ensures the missing scenes are included in the shooting schedule for the following day.
• Monitors and keeps all actors informed/updated on plot development to ensure continuity of acting for the dramatic situation.
• Creates a daily production report that demonstrates total shooting time, each scene type, call time, lunch hour, wrap hour, incidents during the shoot, and incomplete/pending scheduled scenes.
• Responsible for the transportation and return of daily tapes used for each shoot.
• Prepares a final draft of the shooting script, includes all script notes, take records, scene changes, sketches, photos, comments, additions, omissions, and deletions, and delivers it to Director, General Producer, and Editors.
• Ensures that all work is done under the technical guidelines and operations procedures of Telemundo Studios' infrastructure and adheres to EHS/OSHA regulations and procedures.
• Follows policies, applicable laws, and regulations to protect his/her own health and safety as well as that of other workers, the public, and the environment.
• Presents ideas that support EHS goals and policies to your business or EHS leader.
• Raises concerns about possible violations of EHS policies to your manager, business and EHS Leader.
• Works under the direct supervision of the Director and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the production of novelas/soap operas.
• Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must be fully fluent in English and Spanish.
• Must be able to perform job at locations in and outside work environment with varying weather conditions.

Additional Requirements:
• This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
• Willingness to travel with short notice and on weekends.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment.
• Must be willing to work in the greater Miami, Florida area.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.
