Job Description

NBCU Local is looking for a curious, passionate, results-oriented, and motivated self-starter to support innovation in our data efforts for NBC Local, Telemundo Local, and Regional Sports Network portfolio. In this role, you will work with people across the business to provide insights and support to make smart decisions across our platforms, content, partnerships, and campaigns.This position will support our managers, playing a key role in data tactics and strategies to ensure operational efficiencies, campaign effectiveness, and content consumption.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Analyze and visualize data and insights to communicate findings clearly and concisely
• Deliver ad hoc analysis and create data stories or dashboards that help a broad group of business, sales, and editorial stakeholders understand our business
• Transform large datasets using SQL to create high-quality sources for reporting and analytics
• Work with stakeholders to ensure accuracy of data and audiences
• Supporting the team with creation and maintenance of key documentation
• Stay current on analytics and audience measurement best practices, announcements, and industry research

Qualifications
• Education or experience in data-focused roles
• Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups, etc.) and PowerPoint are required
• Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret and visualize data with client needs in mind
• Ability to convey complex data results in a simple and concise way, both verbally and written
• Have a working knowledge of SQL
• Self-starter, resourceful, flexible, proactive & a true team-player
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills, with the ability to accurately handle multiple projects
• Strong attention to detail
• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Desired Characteristics
• Knowledge of TV and digital media research
• Experience with data visualization tools like Domo, Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI
• Knowledge of Freewheel Ad Server Cadent, Merkle Merkury, Google Ad Manager, LiveRamp, iSpot, and Innovid
• Knowledge of syndicated and custom brand impact and attribution partners. Examples include Nielsen systems, comScore, KMB, EDO, Phoenix TV and Digital Brand Effect, LiveRamp / Data Plus Math, NCS, ListenFirst, Nielsen Social and YouGov
