Job Description

The Planner Scheduler is to assist the Facility Maintenance & Construction department with the planning, coordination, and execution of technician schedules, planned work, and corrective maintenance work onsite. The Planner Scheduler will have the responsibility of planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work completed by technicians in a union environment. The Planner Scheduler will assist to standardize and lead the operations/activities of the Facility Maintenance & Hazmat team. The planner scheduler will allocate/coordinate a shared pool of labor and non-labor resources to ensure maximum property wide efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Scheduling/Management of Union Technicians:
• Manages workflow through the department of both routine and assigned tasks and output of the technicians to ensure completeness and that all quality standards are met
• Directing/scheduling/forecasting activities of approximately (100) shared employees in divisions of: Maintenance/HazMat, Plumbing/Water Treatment, HVAC, HVAC/R, Plumbing, and Electrical groups within the Technical Services FMC Department
• Overseeing hourly union staff in accurately reporting time via Timekeeper and correcting any issues, issue disciplines as needed
• Manage all safety training metrics and compliance of all employees
• Manage technician onboarding
• Missed punch tracking and reporting, issuance of disciplines as needed
• Assist with weekly schedule inputs and changes, partnering with Timekeeper team for accuracy and completeness
• Level-load scheduled work based on available resources
• Support in purchasing materials across the department
• Supervision of daily operation of USH Technical Services Maintenance Team
• Provide work direction, counseling, and coaching to hourly union staff to promote safe and efficient operations while exceeding client expectations of communication, responsiveness, quality of service, and technical efficiency
• Planning and leading shift meetings for technicians

Preventative/Corrective Maintenance Scheduling:
• Schedule/Forecast preventative maintenance (PM) work orders, adjusting target start/complete dates based on resources and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Monitor corrective work and submit case for new or additional PMs as needed, then draft as required.
• Verify/Audit proper work order completion
• Verify duplicate WOs are properly closed
• Assist with building in-house repair strategies and programs
• Support WO completion as needed

General FMC Support:
• Management of work orders by creating, revising, and completing work orders as necessary
• Management of work order audits and reports to ensure completion, timeliness, client satisfaction, and expected quality of work
• Purchase materials for preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance
• Work closely with internal clients to identify and correct operational issues quickly
• Participate in assignments with the Technical 1 response program
• 3rd party vendor management support as needed
• Participation in Venue Lead Program
• Collecting and maintaining inventory for the department (golf cart, wardrobe, Mill materials)

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Must be available to work on weekends, holidays, and nights as required
• Must be available to perform facility operational coverage for events (HHN, Grinchmas, Gradbash, etc.)
• Must have excellent written and verbal skills
• Must have at least 2+ years of management experience leading a team
• Needs to be a quick thinker with the ability to make sound decisions
• 1-2 years of project management/maintenance planning in a theme park or related industry. Project Management certification preferred
• Familiarity with resource loading in a maintenance or construction environment
• Ability & willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays with short notice
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
• Experience working with CMMS systems preferred. (Maximo, etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Project

Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
