Job Description

Job Purpose

NBCUniversal is on a mission to become the number one choice for marketers globally to reach audiences in a brand safe, premium video and entertainment environment. We are looking for an experienced marketer, who understands the media and advertising landscape, to join the Global Advertising team to help drive client and agency engagement and increase awareness of the NBCUniversal brand internationally.

The Marketing Manager will play a key role in ensuring the company is positively positioned in front of both clients and trade partners and in elevating our reputation as the leading media company globally.

Fundamental to the role, is the ability to build strong internal relationships with key stakeholders across the business and across multiple locations including London, New York and Singapore, to scale existing campaigns and collaboratively build new initiatives.

We're looking for someone who is a strategic and analytical thinker, who enjoys a challenge and who can think on their feet. You have strong written and verbal communications skills, experience in event marketing and social media as a marketing platform.

The successful candidate will work in collaboration with colleagues across regions and departments.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Lead the development and implementation of the business marketing plan – including events, experiential and content-based campaigns - for NBCUniversal's global advertising division, to drive full-funnel impact across new business, client retention and growth.
• Leverage, manage and develop existing assets like the CMO Now franchise globally to build and enhance client and agency relationships.
• Develop immersive and one-of-a-kind experiences that help build sales relationships and positions NBCUniversal as best-in-class in the marketplace.
• Work with sales, communications, research, and strategy to help create the value proposition for the global advertising offering.
• Ideate and build client-first business marketing campaigns that drive awareness of the effectiveness of NBCUniversal's advertising, with a key focus on priority categories.
• Work closely with the communications and US marketing teams to ensure alignment and global team representation at tent-pole events, such as Cannes Lions and the World Economic Forum, and around major company moments, such as the Olympics.
• Work collaboratively with our in-house creative and events agency, Catalyst, to deliver successful client events and premium development (content strategy, event ideation, branding, list management and execution) and measure impact.
• Build strong relationships across NBCUniversal and its partners.
• Help manage relationships with global industry organisations in partnership with the broader business marketing and communications teams.
• Source and maintain strong relationships with vendors and freelancers across the market.
• Responsibility and accountability for managing the marketing budget.
• Day to day and developmental management of staff and contractor-based team members across APAC and EMEA beyond as well as resource of events, activations and campaigns to budget.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience:
• Extensive experience in marketing and communications, ideally within the media, advertising and marketing industry.
• Experience working across multiple markets preferred.
• Strong project management skills, ability to manage priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment, deliver and support engagement, leads and sales.
• Excellent B2B marketing skills evidenced by a track record of working with sales teams and implementing effective plans to assist revenue delivery.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to clearly communicate marketing roadmaps and ensure engagement from key stakeholders by effectively presenting benefits of business marketing, while keeping relevant teams up to date with plans.
• Data-centric and able to apply a data-based analysis when building plans, executions and measuring success and opportunities.
• Naturally externally focused with a strong interest in new developments in the industry and monitoring competitive activity / market intelligence to capitalize on all present and future business opportunities.
• A team player able to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Innovative and creative thinker, with international experience and mind-set.
• Experience with social channels.
• Language skills beyond English are greatly valued.
