Overview
NBCUniversal, part of Comcast, is focused to have world class technology vendors who can deliver best in class performance using a safe, secure and compliant operating environment. We are looking for a talented and dedicated Manager to support IT Vendor Management functions of NBCUniversal. This role will ensure that the vendor adheres to Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Governance Handbook, NBCU requirements and support IT procurement activites.

Core Responsibilities

This role will be a key member of the IT Vendor Management Office, which is part of the Comcast Enterprise Procurement team, to provide global procurement and professional services engagement support. The role entails managing supplier performance, compliance, internal relationships and providing procurement facilitation and administrative support. The candidate shall support the internal stakeholder organizations to ensure that NBCU standards for outsourced services are maintained and the quality of services are high. Candidates should possess world-class supplier management and analytical skills, with demonstrated procurement experience and an ability to run competitive bids, negotiate contracts and administer large-scale professional services deals.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for performing vendor management, procurement activities and implementing governance policies and practices. The responsibilities will include:​​​​​​
• Lead day-to-day Operations
• Plan, track and manage supplier performance across various procurement categories
• Manage supplier relationships and interface with key executives on supplier issues
• Lead and contribute to the RFP related activities
• Review and approve supplier statements of work and agreements
• Administer project change requests for large deals
• Lead negotiation of statements of work and contracts
• Consistent monitoring of vendor management staff, suppliers
• Coordinate spend, performance and procurement activity reports
• Review vendor's policies and procedures, identify risks and highlight to internal teams
• Develop/Implement Vendor Management and Governance Policy
• Contribute to development and implementation of policies to minimise operational and financial risk
• Develop analysis and track important metrics across the vendor ecosystem (for instance, spend with diverse vendors)
• Program manage compliance initiatives like internal audit and manage follow-up actions from such programs
• Measure and report vendor compliance using relevant metrics
• Perform service management
• Conduct cross-category Net Promoter Score (NPS) surveys across the company in a timely fashion
• Conduct Market Research and report operational metrics
• Drive process improvements and automation
• Maintain accurate contracting data, vendor records and transaction information
• Work with technology, finance and accounting teams to create accurate views of spend, vendor analytics, operational data and other vendor ecosystem related metrics
• Develop, mentor, and train team members
• Other relevant duties as assigned
• The responsibilities will be distributed across the below functions:
• Procurement (40%), VMO and related reporting (30%), Admin activities (20%), Compliance and Audits (10%)

Qualifications/Requirements
Key requirements and experience include:
• 8-9 years or more related experience in procurement and vendor management for large technology or media company
• Strong background in IT procurement and vendor management including a deep understanding of the best practices and appreciation of various technology domains
• Vast experience in, and thorough knowledge of various IT procurement categories
• Strong experience in driving large RFPs with excellent negotiation skills
• Ability to evaluate IT technology, identify risks, evaluate control
• Ability to work cross-entity, cross-geography to drive enterprise-wide initiatives related to category strategy, savings enablement and other important programs.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent English verbal and written communications skills
• Experience working in global delivery environments
• Ability to support US time zone calls - up to 10 PM IST as necessary
• Strong commercial acumen, ability to negotiate complex deals
• Excellent work ethic
• Exceptional relationship management skills and ability to interact at all levels of management
• Strong team player
• Excellent social, communication and presentation skills
• Must be a self-starter and multi-tasker with superior time management skills
• Professional certification, such as, CPSM, CSCP is preferred
• Advanced or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems or equivalent education
