Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
Post '60s are a residual paid to the Motion Picture Industry Pension & Health Plans (MPIPHP) fund on behalf of West Coast International Alliance of Theater & Stage Employees (IATSE) based on a percentage of supplemental markets revenue. If filmed outside of the 13 Western States and at least 2 members of a qualifying West Coast IATSE or Basic Crafts Local work on the show, a threshold is met and a proration calculation must be performed to determine what percentage of total Union labor is West Coast IATSE labor. That percentage is then applied to the percentages of supplemental market revenue paid to MPIPHP.
This role manages the end to end prorations process from tracking which shows require prorations all the way through settlement of the prorations audits. This role is critical in identifying proration-related financial liablity, both timely and accurately, by working closely with Production Finance and the Residuals team. Also, it partners with the Film Studio counterpart to ensure consistent studio treatment and updated best practices.

Essential Responsibilities:
consist mainly of the following:
• Track and consolidate all USG productions potentially requiring prorations from inception through audit settlement.
• Assess and appraise the accuracy of IATSE proration calculations (including preparation of Form D) for TV productions completed by Production Accountants and reviewed by PFE during production wrap in accordance with the IATSE Basic Agreement.
• Submit proration percentage and supporting documentation to Residuals department for payment, and communicate to FP&A and Controllership for TV cost ultimates forecasting and accounting.
• Review and reconcile audit findings from prorations in accordance with applicable contracts.
• Negotiate audit settlements and present externally approved audit settlements internally for stakeholder approval via workflow.
• Communicate with Film counterpart on a regular basis to ensure consistent Studio treatment of proration calculations and underlying assumptions.
• Assist Residuals department in obtaining required documentation from external packagers when NBCU is responsible for submitting prorated IATSE Residuals.
• Support Guild Audit function depending on relative volume of audits.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• At least four years of related work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Must have extensive knowledge of production payroll
