Responsibilities
The NBCUniversal Advertising Sales & Partnerships organization is looking for a Manager of Insights & Research on the Sports & Olympics team. This is an opportunity for qualified candidates to lead the development of sales-driven research and analytical solutions for premier sports properties across NBCUniversal platforms including Sunday Night Football, the Big Ten, Golf (including the US Open, Open Championship and Ryder Cup), the Olympics, and more.
The Manager will be responsible for mining first and third-party data sets, reporting viewership performance, and evaluating advertiser campaigns. And this person will be asked to leverage that work to surface insights that effectively position NBCU content within the sports & media landscape. The Manager will also partner closely with the primary research team to develop proprietary insights that will further aid in generating advertising revenue for NBC Sports properties and position NBCUniversal as an industry thought leader. Additionally, this role will develop and foster relationships with internal constituencies inside and outside the Insights & Research organization (e.g., sales and marketing).

Responsibilities
• Support Sports & Olympics Insights & Research team in the creation of detailed analyses, reports, presentations, and marketing/sales materials covering the properties that are broadcast across NBCUniversal
• Utilize both syndicated and custom research tools to effectively position sports and platforms across linear, digital, and social to the advertising community
• Develop property, consumer, and client/category insights to support B2B marketing opportunities
• Communicate advertisers' return on investing in media and sponsorship to internal and external constituents, using campaign results
• Analyze competitive spending & marketing patterns
• Respond to requests from across the Ad Sales & Partnerships organization, as necessary
• Collaborate with stakeholders both inside and outside Ad Sales & Partnerships in support of key NBCUniversal and NBC Sports priorities
• Partner with other NBCU Insights & Research teams to deliver on organizational needs
Qualifications
• 3-5 years of research experience at a media company, agency or vendor
• Proficient in consumer data platforms (e.g. YouGov, Simmons, MRI, etc.)
• Adept in cross-platform audience measurement systems (e.g., Nielsen, Adobe Analytics, Lake 5, comScore, etc.)
• Ability to distill data from a variety of sources into articulate, clear and actionable data-driven narratives, insights and recommendations
• Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and media math proficiency
• Expertise in both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY in a hybrid capacity; Tuesday - Thursday onsite, remote Monday and Friday
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000, Bonus Eligible
