Job Purpose

NBCUniversal is looking for a Manager to lead the development of research wh ich articulates the value proposition for advertisers across NBC Sports properties, including the Olympics, NFL and World Cup . This role supports the Ad Sales and Marketing teams by providing audience measurement, consumer insights and marketplace positioning.

The Manager will be responsible for analyzing and reporting
on performance
of sports content and advertiser campaigns across platforms (TV, Digital, Social) in support of sales -revenue goals. This person should have a passion for sports, marketing and media, as well as an interest in driving thought leadership. Candidates must be technically proficient with linear & digital media research tools, as well as highly skilled in using data and analytics to develop actionable insights.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Define challenges and develop solutions that help drive revenue across NBC Sports properties (including Sunday Night Football; Olympics; World Cup; National Hockey League; Premier League soccer; NASCAR; Triple Crown; Ryder Cup, U.S. Open, Open Championship and Golf Channel and more)
• Utilize syndicated and custom research tools to effectively position the value proposition of NBC Sports linear, digital & social assets to media agencies and clients
• Leverage a variety of data sets to create cohesive, compelling narratives and impactful sales presentations through effective storytelling/presentations
• Develop proactive content, consumer and category insights to support B2B marketing opportunities
• Respond to requests for data and metrics from across the organization and disseminate insights that help facilitate sales
• Demonstrate the return on investment from media buys across NBC Sports linear & digital properties through full-funnel analysis of campaign performance
• Develop Analysts, with a focus on both day-to-day project oversight and long-term career growth

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in research or insights within the media industry, ideally with direct experience in linear TV and/or sports content
• Bachelor's degree
• Expertise in analyzing TV/digital video performance using traditional/non­traditional approaches and metrics
• Deep knowledge of sports media landscape: familiarity with programming on major broadcasters, cable networks and apps
• Understanding of quantitative/qualitative primary research methodologies, survey design and analysis
• Excellent analytical skills - a strategic, critical thinker who is focused on creating actionable insights, with an ability to structure analysis and correctly interpret data to create compelling narratives that help solve business challenges
• Outstanding project management and time management skills: proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and organizational objectives
• Experience in a client-facing role / presenting directly to external parties
• Proficiency in TV and digital applications and other syndicated research tools (Nielsen­ NPower, AdIntel, Phoenix MI TV Brand Effect, Lake 5, comScore, Adobe Analytics, MRI, etc.)
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint a must
• Prior experience with Tableau a plus
