Responsibilities
OVERVIEW
The Manager, Finance & Accounting will be part of the Corporate Close & Consolidations team, within Corporate Finance & Accounting. The team manages the companywide close and consolidations process and reporting to our parent company, Comcast. This role will play an instrumental part in helping manage quarterly processes, specifically around eliminations and performance of misc. analyses. The position will report to the Director, Corporate Finance & Accounting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with the quarterly close & consolidation process, including the preparation of company-wide elimination entries
• Perform consolidated account reconciliations
• Liaison with NBCU divisions and FP&A teams
• Continuous review of divisional & corporate financial/accounting processes to ensure overall standardized guidelines are followed and areas of efficiencies are identified
• Partner with external/internal auditors to support quarter & year-end financial and internal controls audits, as needed
• Special projects

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Desired Characteristics

• Media industry experience or expertise preferred
• Knowledge of NBCU financial processes/landscape (for internal candidates)
• Knowledge of SAP & Business Warehouse/Analysis for Office
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and high standards for quality and accuracy in work product
• Inquisitive and eager to learn
• Ability to effectively manage priorities and deadlines
• Strong work ethic and follow through
• CPA preferred
