The Filmed Entertainment Group encompasses the Universal Pictures Group, Focus Features, and Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The overall landscape of Film includes distinct business functions that each touch a key segment area in the overall lifecycle of a film, from ideation to premiere. Role Summary:
Analytics involves unlocking specific, timely and actionable insights to help marketing teams deliver compelling and relevant communications to the intended target audience. Situated within the Universal Global Data Strategy team, this role is responsible for delivering analytics-led insights and recommendations on individual movie campaigns, as well as supporting the longer term data strategy & analytics roadmap across the studio. This highly visible role will enable the Manager to gain knowledge and work across various Marketing functions including Research, Digital, Media, and Creative Strategy, as well as support cross-studio and cross-company initiatives.

The role reports to the VP, Global Marketing & Data Strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Analyse film campaign health and provide recommendations to marketing team stakeholders throughout the window
• Develop and support set up of campaign analytics dashboards for in-flight films
• Develop new measurement approaches to inform campaign health, media effectiveness and broader digital marketing measurement
• Support development of Universal's audience segmentation efforts to understand the movie consumer throughout the window
• Support development of Universal's global data analytics environment and onboarding roadmap
• Drive adoption of analytics approaches and capabilities across the studio including the distribution of shared learnings and exploration of new use cases

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Analytics professional with 4+ years experience working in digital marketing or media with recent experience within the entertainment industry
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Big Query / SQL, Data Studio, Google Marketing Platform, Facebook Insights & Ads
• Strong critical thinking skills and a natural affinity for numbers; you must be able to develop measurement studies, analyse raw data, draw conclusions and provide actionable recommendations across a range of marketing disciplines and data sources

Eligibility Requirements:

Desired Characteristics
• Grad level qualification in analytics, data / computer sciences
• Experience with Snowflake, Tableau, Looker, Amazon Marketing Platform, and social platforms -- e.g., Facebook/Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, etc
• Strong communicator (written and oral)
• Project management expertise, ability to drive forward complex initiatives across multiple teams and geographies
• Highly developed interpersonal, team building and relationship management skills. Advanced presentation skills to translate complex information into digestible formats
• Understanding of the data privacy landscape with experience educating teams on new governing policies and processes
• International experience, working with teams outside US
• A love of movies and broader filmed entertainment
