Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
• To aim to minimize the Company's risks and maximize profits by preparing and reviewing contracts of both domestic and international business for the purpose of risk management and profit maximization under appropriate contract terms.
• To investigate legal inquiries and provide consultation thereof, for the purpose of prevention of legal trouble and minimization of loss.
• Research and provide guidance to the business regarding the intellectual property rights of videogram and music contents.
• Manage duties related to intellectual property rights such as copy rights and related rights( trademarks and so on ).
• To implement employee training and manage the status of implementation thereof for the purpose of prevention of legal trouble and minimization of loss and damage.
• To handle legal trouble acting as the contact person at the time of the occurrence thereof, for the purpose of minimization of loss arising from legal trouble.
• To respond inquiries regarding concluded contracts.
• To storage and manage contracts appropriately.
• To manage operations and improve the efficiency thereof for the purpose of appropriate execution of operations and cost reduction.
• To manage, implement, and improve countermeasures for illegal activities (piracy) for the purpose of controlling circulation of illegal products and preventing loss.
• To educate and guide Legal Staff so as to improve their skills, for the purpose of continuous improvement of the quality of legal services and the efficiency of operations.

Qualifications

Having work experience in corporate activities and knowledge of legal practice in terms of quality and quantity, and able to regularly consult with attorneys and external experts. Especially desirable to have knowledge of legal practice in Copyright Law more than other laws. Having experience in preparing and reviewing Japanese and English contracts related to the entertainment business. Having more than 5 years of work experience in legal affairs in the companies of contents business. If holding an attorney's license in Japan, the US, or Britain, (or qualifications equivalent thereto), work experience in business and legal affairs is not required.
