Responsibilities
Job Purpose

The Analyst, Insights & Positioning, will be responsible for handling analysis and positioning of data in support of sales for NBCU Assets, as well as in support of categories for the NBCU Portfolio. The Analyst will interface with internal constituencies to translate the needs of client partners into ''sellable'' insights and stories through quantitative and qualitative analysis and data positioning.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Respond to ad hoc metrics-related queries from across the organization as necessary
• Assist with the development of marketing collateral materials to position the NBCU Portfolio to agencies and advertisers (Nielsen ratings highlights, rankers, program one sheets, e-blasts, trade articles, sales videos, etc.)
• Develop category and consumer insights to support marketing opportunities
• Analyze competitive spending patterns
• Create proof of performance presentations based on campaign results
• Participate in larger projects for the broader NBCU Portfolio as needed

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required, ideally in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Media, Economics/Finance, Math, Statistics or related field
• Excellent computer skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel (formatting, creating charts/graphs, pivot tables, formulas etc.)
• 1+ year of experience at an agency, media company, sales organization or in research
• Strong analytical background and experience managing large datasets
• Knowledge of media math
• Knowledge of digital and social research
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Willingness to partner with fast-paced, high performing sales & marketing teams
• Comfortable acting in a client-facing role, with the potential to present to external parties

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older

Desired Characteristics
• Knowledge of Nielsen Software – Lake 5, Galaxy Explorer, National Tool Box, @Plan, Brand Effect, Ad Intel, NCS / NBI
• Knowledge of Simmons & MRI
• Knowledge of digital and social analytics tools including Adobe Analytics, comScore, Shareablee, ListenFirst
• Rigorous attention to detail and strong writing skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Team player with the ability to take on different assignments/projects in a timely manner
• Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain relationships with team
• Feel comfortable communicating both verbally and in writing to all levels within the organization
