Job Description

Responsibilities

The Finance Director is primarily responsible for managing the financial and accounting support for Telemundo Global Studios. This includes planning and closing related efforts, variance analysis, and financial modeling. This position works closely with the Business Operator, Business Affairs and Production Management department to provide actionable analysis.

Job Duties
• Contributor in the annual development and budgeting process including operating plan, estimates and LRP for both Telemundo Streaming Studios and Telemundo Television Studios
• Review and present production cost reporting for internal/external clients
• Supervise and manage production budgets for third-party and physical productions in the US and LATAM (Mexico, Colombia and Argentina)
• Prepare scripted production budgets scenarios for greenlight committee approval and post-mortems
• Review/Present business financial decks on monthly and quarterly basis
• Review monthly & quarterly closing, departmental variances analysis, pacing, budget, cash flow, and headcount analysis
• Review biweekly Executive dashboard reports for studios business operators
• Review monthly consolidated OCF and FCF pacing
• Collaborate in the filing and recoupment of tax credits internationally
• Responsible for the supervision of VAT recovery of 3rd party productions in Mexico
• Supervise and collaborate in any audit documentation requirements
• Manage a team of 10+ employees across US/LATAM
• SAG-AFTRA, DGA, WGA, ANDA Union experience preferred
• Tax incentive experience a plus

Qualifications

Basic Requirements
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• A 10+ years of experience analyzing data, developing forecasts
• Excellent time management skills, with a deadline orientation; ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative in challenging situations
• Ability to quickly reassess priorities and adapt as required
• SAP, PSL, V5, Movie Magic Budgeting, knowledge strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal & leadership skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Exhibits proficiency with MS Office 365
• Latam production experience preferred
